With the start of uni fast approaching I though it’d be fitting to explore the struggles facing students… cause lets be honest there’s lots!
You’re constantly reminded you don’t have your shit together, “So what do you wanna do when you graduate?”
Your attempt at responsible drinking is over when the drinks are cheap.
You have one friend who insists on telling you all the ways you humiliated yourself the previous night.
And after a heavy night of drinking you often wake up looking like a villain from your favourite horror film.
Going to uni hungover is never a good idea.
And trying to stay focused in lectures is a challenge in itself.
Your student finance coming through is like christmas and a birthday combined, this is until you spend it all within the first week… or perhaps month if you’re lucky.
You spend the rest of the semester reminding people of your dire financial situation.
When you realise the ridiculous library fine you just paid could’ve financed a great night out.
When it comes to completing assignments you know missing those early morning lectures was not worth it.
Receiving a bad grade can seriously affect your mood.
You’re heavily judged by your friends if you choose to stay in and study.
Trying to stay healthy never goes to plan.
By the end of the semester sleep deprivation and a poor diet gets the best of you.
But after a few days home and multiple arguments with your parents you’re ready to go back to uni.
